First Aid for Fainting
I got a call from one of my brothers earlier on today. He had gone to get some meds from a pharmacy and there was some drama: another patron fainted and those around started pouring water on the casualty π♀️π€¦♀️π€·♀️ Yesterday we had put out a post asking π would you know what to do if you were present during a medical emergency? At least my brother knew that pouring water on someone who has passed out isn't recommended at all. So he calls me for the first aid intervention for the situation. When someone faints, they are unconscious but they're breathing. Fainting occurs as a result of inadequate blood supply to the brain. Fainting could occur as a result ofa variety of causes- tiredness, hunger, stress, pain, strenuous activities or even long periods of inactivity. So the solution is to improve blood flow to the brain. If you are present when someone faints/slumps/passes out, first ensure they are breathing, don't allow people to crowd around the casua...
