Today is World Hand Hygiene Day  Last year, because of the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic, hand hygiene trended, as it was a founfin the prevention of getting infected with the Covid-19 virus.  Well it seems our interest in keeping our hands clean is gradually taking a space in the back burner. Thankfully, we are being reminded today that hand hygiene is indeed a pillar in maintaining a healthy life. This year the theme is 👉 "Achieving Hand Hygiene at the Point of Care" Health care workers are being encouraged to clean their hands at the point of care to greatly minimize the chances of spread of pathogens (especially present in the environment) Everyone should make cleaning their hands a habit in order to protect themselves from pathogens.  Let's do a bit of reminder 👉the main medical purpose of washing hands or maintaining clean hands is to rid the hands of pathogens and even chemicals that pose a threat to o

Today is International Fire Fighters Day Today globally Fire Fighters are appreciated for their service and bravery. We are also reminded on how to prevent fire outbreaks and how to safely fight fire. I remember some years ago when my car caught fire and would have been consumed in flames but thank God for the functional fire extinguisher I had. "Fire prevention and the need for more intensive and thorough training is one of the main aspects of International Fire Fighters Day. Fire fighters and their agencies around the world are constantly stressing fire prevention: in schools, to the community, at public events, at assemblies and even to their own families.
