Tuberculosis aka TB is a bacterial infection that affects the lungs.  The bad news is that it is deadly πŸ˜” The good news is that it is preventable and treatable 😁 It is contagious and spread by airborne droplets (like the Covid-19 virus) through coughing and sneezing  Classic signs and symptoms of TBπŸ‘‡ Cough that lasts for a long period (about 3 weeks and more) Coughing up blood  Chest pain (when breathing or coughing) Fever Tiredness  Weight loss Loss of appetite  TB is treated effectively with antibiotics, the treatment duration is usually a long one. Do not self diagnose or self manage. If you present with the signs and symptoms or at risk, you must see a HCP (Health Care Provider) Those who have TB  should prevent the spread by wearing a surgical facemask when around people  Early commencement of treatment is desirable for best outcomes. Let us end TB #WorldTuberculosisDay #TheClockIsTicking #TheFABS  #TheFirstAidBoxShop  #BeFABulouS
