This year the theme of the World Oral Health Day is "Be Proud of Your Mouth". The plan is to get us all to value and take care of our mouths so we can be proud of them. This can be achieved by👇 I. Reducing daily amount of sweetened drinks II. Have regular dental checks (once in 6 months) III. Limit starchy and sugary foods IV. Learn to brush correctly V. Brush regularly (twice daily- in the morning and at night, before going to bed) and don’t brush vigorously VI. Use a mouth rinse or mouth wash VII. Use fluoride (normally contained in toothpaste and mouth wash/rinse) VIII. Don’t smoke IX. Clean your tongue X. Floss once a day XI. Use a straw to take sweetened drinks, this helps avoid contact with the teeth XII. Use proper equipment for brushing- soft bristled brush and fluoride containing toothpaste XIII. Drink fluoridated water XIV. Avoid risk factors behavior XV. Avoid touching your mouth with dirty hands. #WorldOralHealthDay #BeProudOfYourMouth #TheFABS #BeFAB

WORLD ORAL HEALTH DAY (WOHD) The World Oral Heath Day is all about making some noise about good hygiene, yes, and basically this refers to good oral hygiene that we were taught in nursery/primary school. During the WOHD, there is also emphasis on maintaining general health and wellbeing.  When we mention oral hygiene, we focus on maintaining good hygiene practice on the teeth; tongue and gum. The mouth enables us to smile, eat, speak and taste We really should be intentional about taking care of it Stay safe #WorldOralHealthDay #BeProudOfYourMouth #TheFABS #BeFABulouS
