HANDLING KITCHEN FIRE



You step into your kitchen and you see the pot on the gas cooker on fire! What immediately comes to your mind, is to put out the fire before it envelops your whole kitchen and then your whole house. What would you do to put out the fire?
  1. Use water to put out the fire?
  2. Remove the pot from the gas cooker and take to the kitchen sink?
  3. Get a fire extinguisher (if you have one and know how to use it)?
  4. Use the pot lid to cover the pot?
Which of these options are the right one to take? The following video will teach you what you need to do and reason why water is not the best option for dealing with kitchen fire that is oil based.
