Common cold

Common cold also referred to as cold is often confused for flu. It is actually less severe than a flu 

📌Colds are caused by a variety of virus
📌There are no vaccines
📌It is contagious
📌Lasts between 7-10 days
📌Has no cure, but symptoms can be managed 

During this period of the Covid-19 pandemic,  when one has symptoms of a cold, its possible that one could suspect its Covid-19. 

Here are typical signs and symptoms of a cold

-Sneezing 
-Sore throat 
-Cough (mild)
-Fatigue
-Headaches
-Watery eyes
-Runny or stuffy nose
-Muscle/body ache

To manage a cold, rehydrate as much as possible with warm non alcoholic drinks, tea or soups, vitamin C, lozenges for the sore throat, paracetamol for the headache and muscle/body ache and antihistamine for the nasal issues
