A nosebleed is often triggered by damaged blood vessels in the nose. So you see, thr lining of the nose has tiny blood vessels that are delicate and can be easily ruptured.

Obviously nose poking or digging is a common cause of a bleeding nose

There are some causes we can avoid and others we have to manage

Let's do a quick rundown of a list of causes

-Dry or cold air (most common cause)
-Nose picking
-Allergies
-Infections
-Trauma/injury (a blow to the nose/head)
-Foreign objects in the nose
-Forceful nose blowing
-Repeated sneezing
-Common cold
-Blood thinners warfarin, heparin)
-Aspirin
-Cocaine
-Alcohol
-Chemical irtitants (Ammonia)

Some medical conditions too could cause a nosebleed

-High blood pressure
-Leukaemia and some other cancers
-Blood clotting or bleeding disorder (Haemophilia)

What ever the cause of a nosebleed, it can be managed via first aid administration and/or a visit to the ER
