CPR does saves lives

Don't we all just love stories with happy endings ❤ 😁👏

On the 25th of May 2019, a Nigerian doctor, Dr James King was on an Azman aircraft that was headed for Lagos state from Kano state.

About 30 minutes to arrival, something happened. A passenger had collapsed! Luckily someone noticed and raised an alarm which attracted Dr King and yes he swung into action💃

He identified himself, checked out the passenger, realized that he had irregular heartbeats (this could lead to Cardiac Arrest), was unresponsive and was in danger of dying. He announced that the man's survival was dependent on their actions! He got a couple of other passengers to help lay the casualty on the floor of the aircraft. He started giving CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). The casualty started responding. 

Meanwhile he had asked the cabin crew for a  first aid box, well, this came in very handy as the casualty had some seizures during the CPR intervention that were well managed with some emergency meds available in the first aid box.

Dr King performed several cycles of CPR, he assured everyone that the man would make it. He asked that the control tower staff be told to send an ambulance so that the casualty gets more care. Well that didn't exactly happen but the good news was that the casualty got more professional help at the airport clinic.

GIRL RESUSCITATES HER BROTHER BY PERFORMING CPR (VIDEO)

Source: Linda Ikeji's Blog Finally, I found the video of the girl who was videoed performing CPR (Obviously this was her first time performing CPR) on her brother who had collapsed. With her mom and possibly her mom’s friend guiding her on what to do over the phone on CPR procedure. This must have been one of the most terrifying and stressful assignment for her to perform. However,it was a life and death issue. Words cannot describe how she felt doing it or was able to perform this, but she did and saved the day,an avoidable death was prevented. #AFABulouSSister!
