World Osteoporosis Day

This is coming a day late🤦‍♀️😊 Well better late than never🙂

20th October is World Osteoporosis Day.
Awareness on this disease is made especially about its prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

Osteoporosis is a disease that affects the bones, it makes them porous, brittle, less dense, weak so that they fracture easily.

Remember the bones are the framework of our bodeues and so we should take responsibility and ensure they stay healthy

The theme this year is "Serve Up Bone Strength". It simply means we should serve our bones appropriate diet.

Nutrients great for bones include calcium, vitamin D, proteins, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, fluoride. So foods rich in these nutrients should be served adequately... fruits and veggies, fish, dairy products and even supplements that contain these nutrients are a great plus.

Love up on your bones,  treat them right and serve them strength
