World Obesity Day

The 4th of March is World Obesity Day.

The plan is to create and raise awareness about obesity, it's health implications as well as to encourage people to maintain a healthy weight.

Obesity is actually a disease and it is majorly characterized by excessive storage of body fat.

It isn't all about aesthetics. People who are obese are at risk of certain health conditions.👇
- high blood pressure
- type 2 diabetes
- heart diseases
- high cholesterol levels (LDL)
- sleep apnea
- breathing difficulties
- osteoarthritis
- certain types of cancer

Obesity can be treated

This year the theme is Every Body Needs Everybody

We are encouraging everybody to strive to ditch obesity and live  healthy lives by maintaining healthy weights
