Driving in the rain-safety tips

When it rains, it becomes kinda hazardous and extra extra extra caution must be taken.

👉Visibility can be challenged
👉Potholes may not be easily detected
👉Roads get really slippery
👉Flooded roads pose danger
👉Fast moving bodies of water could sweep automobiles away

So we must think safety always but especially when driving in the rain

Here is a quick list on safe driving during the rains

🎯 Ensure your wipers are in good condition. Check them often and replace if need be
🎯 See and be seen! Visibility is poor during the rains, dark clouds and the pouring rain does visibility no good for you or other road users. Use fog lamps or headlamps
🎯 Don't drive too fast, especially when there is a collection of water or in flooded areas, this prevents hydroplaning/aquaplaning
🎯 Tyre condition! Ensure your tyres are in good condition-pressure is right, tyres are not worn out and that you have a spare
🎯 Faulty batteries are a no-no especially during the rains
🎯 If possible move around with a full tank. A quarter tank is such a risk, sometimes bad holdups happen during the rains and one could be stuck in traffic for countless hours
🎯 Driving through flooded areas that have their water levels above the middle of your wheels is risky

Keep safe always
