Salt Awareness Week 2022

Salt basically helps bring out the flavour in certain foods and it does have preservative properties

However, an excessive use of salt has dire consequences on our health.

Too much salt badly affects our blood pressures and thisexposes one to stroke and heart diseases

This year the theme is " Shake the Habit". Simply put, we are being encouraged to shske of our salt habits to preserve our health

Some snacks and foods we consume are really super salted, sometimes when we eat out, the meals are super salted, some people just love to add more salts to their food! We should be careful on the amount of salt we consum, especially when we are not in charge of the food preparation process
