Causes of excessive burping and flatulence


SOURCES OF BELCHING AND FLATULENCE 

Majorly the types of food  and drinks we consume can cause us to belch and fart more or do them in excess. 
Certain foods and drinks have a higher tendency to cause farting and burping. Also some health conditions could cause one to burp and fart excessively.

Fizzy/carbonated drinks as well as some types of alcoholic beverages have a high tendency to cause burping and flatulence. 

Foods like beans and veggies like broccoli and cabbage cause excessive burping and flatulence. Most people can totally relate about the effect of beans and groundnuts on their farting pattern. 

Chewing bubble gum, sucking on lollipops and top of pens, eating too quickly and smoking are some habits that encourage swallowing of air and can increase tendency to burp and fart.

Certain health conditions increase tendency to burp and fart as well, e g. constipation, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), diabetes, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) etc

Knowing the causes of flatulence and belching  can help put a check so it is controlled and not in excess.
