Reasons why we get bloated


SOURCES/CAUSES OF BLOATING 

Certain foods are the number 1 cause of bloating.

Foods that could cause you to bloat:

-foods that create gas e.g. beans, vegetables (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower), dairy products, high fiber foods 
-fatty /greasy foods
-foods that contain artificial sweeteners 

OTHER CAUSES OF BLOATING 

Also carbonated/fizzy drinks 

Being lactose intolerant and gluten intolerant could also make one bloat

Constipation causes bloating 

Smoking causes bloating 

Swallowing air while using a straw to drink or chewing gum could cause bloating 

PMS (Premenstrual Syndrome) could be a cause of bloating in some females

Certain food allergies cause bloating
