101 Dalmatians πππ
DALMATIANS π₯°π€π
I was in secondary school already when my pops decided it was time for our family to own dogs as pets and may be add to security measures.
My uncle Ralph was the one who helped us acquire our first set of dogs. He brought us these lovely puppies. They were like nothing we had ever seen. He told us they were dalmatians. Not common at all in Nigeria.
They were beautiful, they were cute. One had black spots while the other had spots that were a shade of brown.
I think it was my mom that named them. The male which was black and white was called Chiba while the female which was white and brown was called Timi. Chiba was the extroverted oneπ and Timi had a sad quiet look (from cradle to the grave π)
My pops ensured that our dogs had all the basics and extras. He got dog grooming sets, brushes, dog shampoo, tick powder, collars and chains, canned dog foods (ππ€£ and yes there were varieties), vet doctor's visits. But Chiba and Timi lived in the house, they didn't get a kennel. In the living room, they each chose their seperate spots. These spots were between couches, like opposite each other.
My uncle Ralph tried to give us the basics on how to train them, i dont think we did a great job on that π€¦♀️
Occasionally our dogs would fight each other. Absolutely scary and really bloody fights. And for some reason, the sad and quiet Timi always won the fights. May be girl power ππͺ
We dont have pictures of Chiba and Timi, had to hunt out pictures from the net and yes these pictures captured my heart. Super reminders of Chiba and Timi. They were the only Dalmatians we ever owned. We went on to do Alsatians and Rottweilers. And oh yes we had a parrotπ, her name was Sukiπ
Having pets is a responsiblity and they are such treasures. I am still a sucker for dogsπ₯°
