How to prevent diabetes

You know type 2 diabetes is preventable, right?

It's important you know if you are at risk and then prevent diabetes showing up in the future. 

If you are at risk  or prediabetic, then do the following to prevent diabetes.

Check your blood sugar/glucose levels periodically 

Exercise

Eat healthy. Include fiber,fruits, veggies, wholegrain in your diet

Ditch the sedentary lifestyle

Cut down on sugars

Lose weight if overweight or obese

Control your blood pressure 

Quit smoking 

See your doctor for regular checkups (better to nip ailments in the bud)

Reduce alcohol consumption 

Remember that diabetes is a silent disease and it's best if early detection is made
