Fire Safety

FIRE SAFETY

Some time ago i heard about a fire accident that claimed the life of a septuagenarian. Sad. Before that the news was about some kids who also lost their lives in a fire accident. Every now and then, these sad events happen. The need for us to take fire safety seriously cannot be stressed any further!

Here are some nugget that should help:
1) Do not leave fires unattended. Especially kitchen fires, open fires either from candles, bush fires, fires from burning thrash etc.

2) Installing smoke detectors and fire alarms will do nothing but great good

3) Keep away flammable articles from fires eg. don't place burning candles on wooden furniture or close to curtains etc

4) Have a functional fire extinguisher close by in homes, work spaces, vehicles etc.

5) In the event of a fire outbreak,  get out ASAP and stay out until the fire service arrives, trying to go back in to rescue valuables could cost life
